14 - Heav’nly Father, God above

1:

Heav'nly Father, God above,

Rule my life, Lord, in Thy love;

In my heart, may mercy reign,

And my mind, in peace remain.

Keep me far from sin’s domain;

Save me from its guilt and pain.

2:

Loving Father, joyfully,

I commit my life to Thee.

All the labor of my hands

Cannot fill Thy law's demands;

All for sin could not atone;

Thou must save, and Thou alone.

3:

Nothing in my hands I bring;

Simply, unto Thee I cling.

How I need Thy grace divine,

And Thy love that is sublime!

Shelter me in Thy embrace;

How I long to see Thy face!
