94 - Rescue the perishing

Rescue the perishing, care for the dying,

Tell them that Christ frees from sin and the grave;

Weep o’er the erring one, lift up the fallen,

Christ will receive them; He’s ready to save.

Jesus is merciful, Jesus will save.

Though they are slighting Him, still Christ is waiting,

Those who repent, Christ the Lord will receive;

Speak to them earnestly, speak to them gently;

He will forgive if they only believe.

Down in the human heart, crushed by the tempter,

Feelings lie buried that grace can restore;

Touched by our Savior’s love, filled by His Spirit,

Chords that were broken can vibrate once more.
