1 - The work on the cross

1: 

The work on the cross is a work beyond compare.

God’s love, there our Savior declared.

Though blameless and pure, He was nailed to a tree,

That from sin, mortal man could be free.

Refrain:

Oh, what love, blessed love,

Perfect love found in Jesus alone!

2: 

The work on the cross could be done by Christ alone;

No other for sin could atone.

In Jesus, God’s justice was brought to mankind,

And through Him, peace with God we can find.

3: 

The work on the cross fully paid for all man’s sin. 

Christ’s suff’ring, our pardon did win.

Our Lord has redeemed us through infinite grace, 

And in heaven, He’ll give us a place.
