16 - What grace so sublime

1:

What grace so sublime the Savior brought

To sinners, including me!

Though far from God was I, my soul, Christ Jesus sought,

Redeemed me and set me free.

2:

By grace, He has taught me holy fear,

And grace, my own fears relieved;

What precious work of love, by grace, He made appear,

The moment I first believed.

3:

Through dangers and many toils and snares,

By grace, I’ve already come.

His grace has brought me through; what grace beyond compare!

In love, He will lead me home.

4:

Abundance of life He promised me;

The word of my Lord is sure.

My Portion, He is now and through eternity;

In Him, is my hope secure.
