45 - Here on earth, our life is fleeting

Here on earth, our life is fleeting;

In God’s promise we confide:

Soon with Jesus we’ll be meeting;

In the heavens with Him we’ll abide.

Soon we’ll see our Lord and Savior;

We shall meet Him in the air.

In the heavens we’ll have favor;

We’ll enjoy peace eternal up there.

2:

Christ’s return is ever nearing;

He will come to take His own.

At His glorious appearing,

They’ll ascend to their heavenly home.

3:

There will be no pain or sorrow,

No more suff’ring, no more fear.

In that blessed, great tomorrow,

God the Father shall wipe every tear.
