47 - On earth, we shall lament and weep

On earth, we shall lament and weep,

But joy will come at last.

The Lord, in love, our souls will keep,

Till grief and tears are past.

Refrain: 

Our Lord and blest Redeemer

Turns darkness into light.

In Him alone we’re trusting;

His love is our delight.

2.

When we are burdened, deep in pain,

We look to Christ, our Lord.

His word is true: He’ll come again;

Our joy will be restored.

3.

In prayer, we ask and shall receive,

For Christ has made the way.

In Jesus’ promise we believe:

We’ll reign with Him one day.
