There's a call that’s ringing o'er the restless wave, "Send the light! Send the light!”

There are souls to rescue, there are souls to save; they need God’s holy light!

Refrain: 

Send the light, the blessed gospel light; let it shine from shore to shore!

May God’s light, the blessed gospel light, over us, be now outpoured.

We can hear God calling us in love each day; His light shines on our way.

With an open heart, His voice we will obey; He’ll give light day by day.

Let us not grow weary in the work of love; God will send light divine!

Let us gather treasure in our home above, where God’s light always shines!
