Jesus died upon the cross; there a precious fountain,

Free to all, a healing stream, flows from Calv'ry's mountain.

Refrain: 

May Christ’s work on the cross be my glory ever,

Till my ransomed soul shall find rest and peace forever.

I was once a troubled soul; love and mercy found me.

Christ, the bright and morning Star, shed His light around me.

Let me not forget the cross; bring its scenes before me.

With great love, my Lord divine leads me to His glory.
