90 - The message of the Gospel

1:

The message of the Gospel, over land, from sea to sea,

Brings the news of free salvation that Christ offers you and me.

For God so loved the world that His only Son He gave;

All who do believe in Jesus shall not perish but be saved.

2:

The Gospel message calls us to a feast prepared for all;

Do not slight the invitation, nor reject the gracious call.

Christ is the Bread of life that can satisfy your soul;

Tho’ your sins be red as crimson, they shall be as white as snow.

3:

The Gospel sound is joyful, as it echoes far and wide,

Bearing notes of perfect pardon, through a Savior crucified.

Good tidings of great joy to all people we can bring:

Unto us has come a Savior, which is Christ the Lord and King.

Final ending:

Glory be unto God! He has shown good will t’ward men.
