For the one returning to God's care!

See! The Father meets him while he’s far away,

For with him, His riches He would share.

We’re a ransomed people, like a mighty sea,

We, His church, give praise for we are free!

Heaven sings with gladness! There is joy today,

For the wand’rer now is reconciled!

Every one that’s rescued from their sinful way,

Will be born anew, a blessed child.

Brethren, sing with gladness! Spread the news today!

Angels will rejoice before God’s face!

Share the joyful tidings! Bear them far away,

For the sinner who receives God's grace!
